CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. The SKY Happiness Retreat is a fun, innovative, and experiential life-skills training program that empowers young adults to develop a relaxed, stress-free mind and an energetic, healthy body, using tools such as meditation, yoga, breathing exercises, self-exploration, and socio-emotional

  2. We are gearing up for an exciting 2019 Angus Convention held Nov. 2-4 in Reno, Nevada. This industry-leading event is known for bringing exceptional speakers, hands-on learning and country music entertainment to the attendees every November.

  3. Registration is now open for the annual fundraising event "Animals in Our Lives" on September 30th from 5-8pm! The event will include a short introduction to CHAIRE, a plated dinner, a silent auction, animals from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, aa presentation by Dr.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Kentucky Equine Management is now accepting applications for their upcoming Spring 2020 Breeding and Reproduction internship!

    Interns live and work on central Kentucky Thoroughbred farms and attend weekly lectures on topics of importance to reproduction and breeding.

  2. The Vet Clinic is looking for a kennel technician to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. These would be evening shifts. The duties include cleaning the hospital in addition to caring for any hospitalized or boarding pets. The position averages about 8-10 hours per week.

  3. The National Turkey Federation is currently accepting internship applications for the Spring 2020 semester in their Washington, D.C. office. They seek a recent graduate or a currently enrolled junior or senior with a desire to learn about and advocate for the turkey industry.

  4. Kentucky Equine Management will be accepting applications for the Spring 2020 Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) session starting August 1st.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Equine Medical Associates, PSC is looking to hire a Veterinary Technician for the breeding season this coming spring. 

  2. The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and broadly experienced individual to serve as full-time Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for a variety of administrative functions including office and property management, IT, benefits

  3. Dutch Hollow Farm is an 800-cow Registered Jersey dairy in Eastern NY. We are currently looking for someone capable of fulfilling management responsibilities and willing to work closely with the current herd manager/owner and other employees.

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Persons who have a strong desire to pursue a career in managing and/or marketing Registered Jersey™ cattle are encouraged to apply for the 2020 Fred Stout Experience awards. The awards are presented annually in memory of Fred J. Stout Sr., Mt.

  3. Do you have a bachelor’s degree in science with an emphasis on biology or chemistry? Are you a problem solver, accurate, dependable, able to work well under pressure, and driven to complete tasks once started?

  4. The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) launched the Infectious Diseases Student Community of Practice and Engagement (ID SCOPE) in partnership with the Battelle Center for Science, Engineering, and Public Policy, a center within the Glenn College.

  5. Shades Club is always looking to recruit new members! The purpose of Shades of Animal Sciences is to provide networking opportunities for multicultural students with a wide variety of interests, while focusing mainly on animals through education and service.

  6. Are you or someone you know feeling stressed, overwhelmed &/or depressed? We, your fellow animal scientists, have your back!

  7. At A.P.E.S. (American Primate Educational Sanctuary) volunteers take on a role similar to that of a keeper in a zoo. They clean the cages, prepare meals, do dishes, prepare enrichment, and other upkeep that may need done.

  8. The Mid-Ohio Foodbank is hoping to share some of their volunteer opportunities with students and faculty. They have a variety of projects available and would love some new volunteers!

There are resume templates that can be used to create a resume in case you don’t know where to start
