CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. There will be an information session on graduate school opportunities on October 20th at 6:00pm in room 212 in the Animal Sciences Building or on zoom.

    The following questions will be explored and answered:

  2. Join the Human-Animal Interactions Club and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on October 6th for their annual Sloth Yoga event! Open to all - come participate in a beginner yoga session led by instructors from Rec Sports and featuring sloths from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

  3. Interested in studying abroad but not sure where to start? 

    Come and learn more about the ways you can study abroad through CFAES! No appointment necessary.

  4. If you are looking for a co-op, internship, or full-time position, plan to attend the Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Career Fair.

  5. Join us for our September Buckeyes In Your Corner event on Tuesday the 27th at 5:30 PM in the Animal Sciences Arena (Room 111, South).  We will have free food and an opportunity to meet and mingle with your community away from home.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Alta Genetics is now hiring students to join them for our 2023 Dairy Business Internship! For more information, see attached
    The deadline to apply is October 7th, 2022.

  2. Canine Academy in Lancaster, OH is looking to hire for their Care Team! They are a dog training and boarding facility and the care team members complete daily tasks such as walking and playing with dogs, cleaning kennels, and providing dogs with fresh food and water throughout the day.

  3. The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine is hiring an Animal Caretaker for their Finley Farm. It is part-time with flexible hours.

  4. The American Jersey Cattle Association is looking for parttime help in their Herd Services department. They are looking to hire someone who would want at least 10 hours per week, with an upper limit of around 20-25 hours.

  5. West 20 Saddle Company will be attending the Quarter Horse Congress and is interested in hiring students and adults to work in their booth before and during the event. They are a 35 year old business located in East Troy, Wisconsin and have employed many Ohio State students during the Congress

  6. Schneider Saddlery is looking for several passionate, enthusiastic equestrians to join their Retail Team in their Pop-up Shop during All American Quarter Horse Congress (September 27th 2022, to October 23rd, 2022)

  1. Do you enjoy sharing your passion for Ohio State with others? Would you be willing to show high school students what it's like to be a Buckeye? The "Experience Ohio State for a Day" (EOFD) Program allows prospective students to get a feel for what college is really like.

  2. The Stockmanship & Stewardship tour might be over, but the educational opportunities never stop! Grab your computer and comfiest chair and join them on November 1st from 9:00AM - 5:00PM CDT for the return of the virtual Stockmanship & Stewardship event. 

  3. The Animal Welfare Judging and Assesment Contest provides a unique educational experience where students learn to assess animal welfare in a variety of settings using evidence-based methods and oral reasoning.
