Welcome to Week 2! We hope everyone's first week went well!

CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. The OIA 2024 Global Education Expo will be held on Tuesday, September 10 from 2 – 5 p.m. in the Archie Griffin East Ballroom at the Ohio Union. 

  2. Before the CFAES Career Fair on September 26th, there will be two prep sessions to help students get ready!

    There will be an in-person session on September 10th in Nosker House from 6-7pm. 

  3. Market, promote, and recruit for your student employment needs for the 2024-25 year by attending the CFAES Student Employment Fair Monday, August 26 from 3-5pm in Kottman Hall Lobby on the Columbus campus. Questions can be directed to cahill.71@osu.edu.

  4. Join us Thursday, August 29th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the CFAES campus area for an opportunity to engage with our community, learn more about how to get involved within CFAES, and enjoy outdoor games, activities, food trucks and music.

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

  1. The Animal Welfare & Ethology Research (AWER) Lab at The Ohio State University is seeking a graduate student to pursue an MS in Animal Science with an emphasis on animal behavior and welfare based in Columbus, OH.

STUDY ABROAD INFORMATION

  1. The Global Education Department is beginning to host information sessions for their Spring Break 2025 slate of offerings. The application deadline for all of these programs is October 15th, 2024. See attachments below for each program! 

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Join other CFAES Ohio State student for a four-day Leaders Conference in Kansas City where you’ll get to work on your professional skills, make connections with fellow students from other University and hear from the folks guiding the agriculture industry.

  1. All OSU Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) staff were sent home to tele-commute until further notice.The CCS phone line 614-292-5766 remains available for emergency assistance 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
