CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Aviagen is accepting Summer interns! For more information, see attached.

  2. The Vet Clinic in Worthington has a kennel technician position open!

  3. CentralStar has opened applications for several paid internships for summer of 2025 in the areas of artificial insemination, milk analysis, and research.

  6. The Center for Dairy excellence has upcoming internships for college students who are pursuing careers in dairy and looking to gain real-world experience.

  8. Willowbank farm in Simpsonville, KY is looking for an intern for their 2025 foaling and breeding season.

  10. The zebrafish facility has up to 3 student assistant positions available ($13/hour) to join the zebrafish husbandry team. The position is ideal for students interested in animal holding systems, freshwater tropical fish care, veterinary medicine, fisheries, animal husbandry, etc.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. The Ohio Cattleman's Association has an available scholarship! See attached if you are interested! Applications are due October 31st.

  2. The National Dairy Herd Information Association has a scholarship available!

STUDY ABROAD INFORMATION

  1. The Global Education Department is beginning to host information sessions for their Spring Break 2025 slate of offerings. The application deadline for all of these programs is October 15th, 2024. See attachments below for each program! 

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. URUS is offerring a 1-week paid expense trip to Madison, WI for students to participate in their Dairy Consulting Experience with the potential to win a $1,000.00 scholarship. For more information, see their website

  2. At CAST (the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology), their goal is to provide credible, unbiased, science-based information about food and agriculture to policymakers, the media, the private sector, and the public. They are holding a conference this Fall for interested students!
