She enjoyed raising sheep, beef, and dairy animals through 4-H and FFA. After completing her B.S. degree in Animal Science at University of Idaho she worked as a research associate at The Washington State University Dairy and conducted nutrition trials. She then pursued a M.S. degree in the Dairy Science department at Virginia Tech; her thesis is entitled: “The impact of parlor equipment and milking procedures on milk quality in the southeast US.” Kellie enjoys working with graduate students in the mastitis and mammary physiology laboratory in Wooster.
