CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. The department of Animal Sciences is now taking orders for departmental embroidered and silkscreen clothing items (button up shirts, polos, jackets, vests, tees, sweatshirts, hats, etc.). They've created a great 

  2. ASGSA is hosting a Fall Dinner Fundraiser on October 4th from 5:30-7:30 pm! It will be held in the Animal Sciences Arena and part of the proceeds will go to Heifer International. For more information, see attached

  3. There will be continuous bussing from the Howlett Hall cul-de-sac to FSR on Tuesday (9/19) and Wednesday (9/20). Busses will run every 2 hours with the first departure from campus at 8am and the last departure from FSR at 5pm. 

  4. There is a snack bar in Plumb Hall 116 if you get hungry in between classes! Venmo or cash is accepted. See attached for more details. 

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

    Summer Crop Internship

  2. The Equine Reproduction Labratory at Colorado State University has new openings for 5 internship positions beginning on Janurary 8th through July 31st. More information can be found here

  3. The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Biosecurity Research Institute (BRI) at Kansas State University are accepting applications for up to ten undergraduate or recent B.S. graduates for fellowship positions for the summer of 2024.

  4. PACE Ag Group has opened their 2024 internship applications! Interns will gain commercial dairy operation experience through completing the day-to-day tasks by working alongside managers and employees on our farms.

  5. Elanco Animal Health Incorporation has just released new internship positions for summer of 2024! Here are some different positions listed below along with their application portals:

  6. Miller Poultry is accepting interns for 2024! They will be at the career fair on the 28th of September, but applications open the 4th. See attached for more information! 

GRADUATE SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

  1. Want to know more about graduate school in the animal sciences? An information session will be held on October 10th at 4pm in room 212 of the Animal Science Building or on Zoom.  RSVP to Hargett.5@osu.edu to receive the link.

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Purina is hosting a Career Discovery Event for students interested in careers related to Animal Nutrition on October 12. The event is virtual and includes break-out sessions focused on Technical Services, Sales, and R&D.

  1. All OSU Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) staff were sent home to tele-commute until further notice.The CCS phone line 614-292-5766 remains available for emergency assistance 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
